Practical notes

  • Wilton House, Ranger's House and other private filming locations have limited public opening days. Confirm availability before scheduling.
  • Bath becomes busy in peak season, particularly around the Royal Crescent and Roman Baths. Early-morning visits work best.
  • Two-night stays at the Chatham and Bath ends of the route reduce constant packing and allow for fuller day touring.
  • Driving distances are short between stages, leaving room for in-depth visits at each location.
  • This programme works across different accommodation levels, from boutique B&B to higher-end heritage hotel options.

How this programme can be adapted

  • Integrate private transfers, guides or expert-led tours at filming locations
